Quick Tips for Driving Website Traffic

June 27th, 2008

A quick note about driving webpage traffic to your sites.

You may already know that getting the traffic you need to be successful online requires a working knowledge of search engine optimization, also known as SEO. This takes focus, drive and determination. Here are a few tips to get the ball rolling.

1. Make sure you are working with a product or service you can commit to. Nothing is harder than trying to build passion about selling a product you don’t understand or believe in. Your potential customers will feel your pain…and stay away.

2. Carve out time from your schedule to get good at what you do. Do your homework. What this means is look for books, magazines and products that help you learn your craft. Online retailer Amazon is one of the best sources I’ve found for research. You’ll find many different sources for information you can convert into traffic for your websites.

3. Get started when you are 35 to 40% ready to go. Too many newbie marketers try to know everything before they start. Most often they procrastinate so long they lose the motivation that is necessary to become successful. Even worse, they miss a window of opportunity to make a killing. Often fads or hot niches flash up and boil within a month or two and then cool off without warning.

If you’ve been marketing with articles you already know the drill. Article marketing pays. No ifs ands or buts. If you write interesting and informative articles and submit them to top article directories you are going to be successful.

In this business being successful means driving traffic to your websites. Bottom liners understand the name of the game is traffic. For most of them it also means By Any Means Necessary. If you haven’t got a clue about where or how to start you’ve landed in the perfect spot.

I started my career as a hypnotist specializing in personal development. My sideline was weight loss coaching and I learned a ton about human nature. I did’nt realize how much I had learned until I transitioned into the world of business…especially sales and marketing. Here’s what you’ll want to learn right away.

Your customers don’t want to be sold. They want to buy. Most often you’ll do everything in your power to sell them on something. Then you’ll spend countless years and dollars trying to figure out how to sell better! Just say no and write an article. Want to know what to write about?

How about, “How Not To Buy Anything On The Internet?” Like that title? Well stay tuned because tomorrow I’ll teach you exactly how to use a variation of that title to make money, maybe $500 in the next 10 days.

Would you like a mentor? Chat with you tomorrow.
